WiCS has been awarded $3,000 to support their mission and quest to become an ACM-W Chapter. WiCS is a student organization that focuses on fostering a diversity friendly environment in the field of computer science and other technology-related fields. The NCWIT Student Seed Fund has awarded over $83,000 to more than 100 student-run programs for women in computing at non-profit, U.S. Academic Alliance member institutions nationwide.
This award is given to student groups for women in computing and IT programs that increase women’s confidence, technical skills, and help reduce feelings of isolation, dispel stereotypes, and empower students to actively recruit and mentor other women!
