Back at SheInnovates in January, a team of female CS students placed third with a webpage prototype of their app Photoglot. Following their success at SheInnovates, Nur Iren took the initiative to turn this prototype into a polished app and spearheaded the process to get the team involved in the Pitt Mobile App Challenge, where they won first place!

Team member Chloe Ciora describes Photoglot as “a language learning tool that allows you to hover over objects using your device’s camera and translate the word associated to that object to the language of your choice.”

Congratulations to Iren, Ciora, Caitlin Schmuck, and Ottania Rosario for their win at the Pitt Mobile App Challenge!
