Dr. Jingtao Wang joined the Department of Computer Science in the fall of 2010. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 2010. He also received his M.S. in Computer Engineering and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1999 and 1996, respectively.
He was a researcher at IBM China Research Lab from 1999 to 2002, working on large vocabulary, multilingual online handwriting recognition technology for East Asian languages.
His primary research direction is human computer interaction, with interests in mobile interfaces, ubiquitous computing, education technology, and applications of machine learning in user interfaces.
