This course is about using concepts of artificial intelligence to solve current, real-world problems. In particular, we will focus on the area of machine learning, which has brought advances to many fields of studies such as bioinformatics, computational linguistics, and economics. This course will give an overview of the models and algorithms used in modern machine learning, including (but not limited to) generalized linear models, multi-layer neural networks, and clustering.
